- 16 hours of my own personal time charged at what my company's standard consulting rate dictates : $1840
- Fee for pissing me right off, let's just say this figure looks a lot like the number 8 laying on its side (probably because it had lost the will to live trying to recover one of your small scale Soho NAS devices)
- Fee for colleague to deliver a device to initiate recovery and far more reliable and consistent alternative, in this case a house brick. $200ph at 1.5 * minimum 2hr callout fee $600
BTW the two Hitachi 1TB drives are perfectly fine and have passed their Spin Rite tests.
It seems the Duplo Grade Door Stop you managed to sell me is clearly labelled WRONGLY!!! It should say RAID (0), (1) features our new DISK WIPE JBOD utility.
